James Moody McCulloch, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11th in Williamsburg with his family by his side. Jim was born in Plainview, TX to the late Moody and Verna McCulloch. On February 2, 1957 he married Linda Lee, the love of his life.  Together they had two daughters.
As a young adult he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country in the Navy Reserve and Active Duty for 37 years. He courageously fought in the Vietnam War and eventually earned the distinguished rank of Captain before he retired.  Jim was a member of The Williamsburg Community Chapel. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Crown Colony Club.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Linda; two daughters, Kim Hering (Kent) and Amanda Furrow (Jeff); grandchildren, Kellison and Kaitlyn Hering and Lindsay and James Furrow.
A memorial service will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15th at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway Williamsburg, VA 23185.
