James Pearce Brice, Jr. passed away July 9, 2021 with his family by his side in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Jim was born January 2, 1956, in Roanoke, Virginia to Phyllis and James Brice.

After graduating from Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke in 1974, Jim attended Radford university.  After graduating from Cooley law school in 1999, he made the most of his law degree providing an extensive array of legal services – even going to court and winning his final case a week prior to his passing. His boyish smile, sharp wit, and great sense of humor will not be forgotten.

Jim is survived by his son James “Trey” Brice, III, his Mother (Phyllis Brice), and brothers (Michael and Stephen Brice), and his most trusted companion (Molly). He is also blessed to have many friends who came to express their love and friendship in the weeks prior to his passing.

A Celebration of Life in Jim’s honor will be held 11:00am Saturday July 17, 2020 at Altmeyer Funeral Home 1801 Baltic Avenue Virginia Beach, Va 23451. Jim asked if people would wear festive clothing to the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, we simply ask that you keep Jim in your thoughts and prayers.

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
