James Stuart "Jim" Grasman

September 16, 1941 - May 3, 2021

James “Jim” Stuart Grasman, age 79, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on May 3, 2021 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Jim was born on September 16, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to John and Loretta Grasman.

Jim served proudly as a member of the National Guard in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s.
Jim was the owner of Auto Colors here in Virginia Beach. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed boating; he could whistle ‘Stranger in the Night’ like he owned it. Roy Orbison could not sing a song that Jim didn’t love; the same was true of Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson. All who knew Jimmy knew his love of the steel guitar, war movies and Dr. Pol.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children: Chris (Amy), Rocky (Cyndi), Zach (Chelsea), Molly (Stephen), Megan (Stephen), and his favorite child and loyal pup, “Tilly”; three stepchildren: Tim, Annie, James; grandchildren: Corey, Kaitlyn, Layla; great-grandchildren: Scarlet, and baby Camden coming soon; siblings: Ken and Rick; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Loretta; a sibling, Tom; and a stepchild, Joe.
