As her children grew up she was a store manager at Walden Books.

Jane went home to be with the Lord on June 28th at 12:50 AM surrounded by the love of her family.  A celebration of life ceremony will be held on July 10, 2021, 2PM at Freedom Fellowship Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Her ashes will be laid to rest in Cynthiana, KY with her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Walker Brumback Jr.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Leon Brumback “Major” and his wife Regina Brumback, her daughter, Kathrine Jane Kadlec-Weir “Kathy or Kat” and her husband Chris Weir. Her brother and sister-in-law, James and Katherine Humphries and beloved nephew and nieces: Roger Humphries, Jennifer Humphries, Lilia Macias, Marisa Macias and Cristina Justice. Her beloved cat, Tiger.

Jane was a delight to be around.  She thoroughly enjoyed engaging in conversation with anyone, anywhere.  Her spunky wit and sense of humor was sure to get everyone laughing. She was incredibly smart, kinder than most and had a generous heart.  Jane’s spirit brought a bright light to the world making it a better place.  Her presence will live on with the fond memories she left in our hearts.

What our families say...

My family and I are grateful to Angie and the entire Altmeyer team for providing a thoughtful viewing and funeral service for my Auntie. They were kind and respectful through the entire process, listening attentively and carrying out our requests with compassion. Thank you for your help, but most importantly, thank you for your sincerity!
