Jeremy E. McDonald

February 9, 1978 - December 30, 2018

Jeremy McDonald, 40, passed away suddenly on December 30, 2018. Jeremy is survived by his mother who raised him on her own since his father’s tragic passing when Jeremy was only 6 weeks old.

Jeremy was a kind soul who treasured his family and friends above all else. When he made friends, those friends remained close to him forever because Jeremy was always there to help others. He adored his “niece and nephew” and believed wholeheartedly that a hug from a child was the best thing in the world. He was a man of solid character and held family values and friendship in the highest esteem. Jeremy was particularly fond of music – he came from a musical family as his grandmother would sing opera to him. That led to Jeremy cultivating an eclectic taste in music, loving everything from rap and rock to classical music, particularly the work of Ludwig van Beethoven. He worked diligently as an exterminator in the pest control field.

Jeremy touched many lives and he worked to brighten the days of those around him. Please consider helping his mother through this emotionally devastating and financially difficult time by making a donation to the fund for Jeremy. A Treasured Memories Community Funding campaign has been started to help Paula, Jeremy’s mother and can be found at  https://www.tmcfunding.com/search-fundraisers/campaign/3034?layout=single#.XDS6PiA3a8c.gmail

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
