John Edward Fisher of Norfolk became an angel on August 6, 2020 at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Fisher and his first wife Jackie Fisher.
John was a US Navy Veteran and a successful automotive mechanic. He was also a Harley enthusiast and loved roadtrips and joyrides. He loved spending time with his family whether it was remodeling the house together or just relaxing in the evening.  John was a kind hearted man who donated a kidney to a fellow church member. He was kind and genuine and would never jeopardize his integrity.
Left to forever cherish his memory is his wife Dianna Tanner-Fisher; Mother Eileen Fisher; Brother Stephen (Emily) Fisher, Ian (Michelle) Fisher; stepchildren Tim (Regina) Wacker, Shannon (Bill) Hellwege, Angie (Rob) Touby, Michelle (Nick) Johnson, Roxanna (Thomas) Cheney, Tiffany Meade, and Matthew (Amanda) Tanner. John was also a loving granddad and “Papa John” to 17 grandchildren. He will be remembered by his nephew, cousins across the pond and in America, the place he was proud to call home, and all of the numerous friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 6-9pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5033 Rouse Dr. Virginia Beach, VA 23462. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1:30pm at the same Altmeyer location. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, VA 23502 at 3pm.
