Joseph Abalos Campos

Joseph Abalos Campos, 76, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018. He was born on June 19, 1941 to Alfredo and Cesaria (Abalos) Campos in Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines. He served our country in the US Navy for 22 years. He also worked for the Naval Aviation Depot and Norfolk International Airport. Joseph was also a former President of the Pangasinan Association of VA and a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ruben. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Alicia; children, Joyce & husband John Laswell, John, Julius & wife Jenny, Jaryl, and Jessica & husband Gabriel Cudal, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeremy Geyer, Analyn Campos, Angelina Campos, Jonathan Campos, Madison Campos, and Zoe Cudal; step-grandchild, Cara Manaugh; great-grandchild, Skylar Marie Geyer; and sister, Nila dela Cruz.

A wake service and visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, from 6pm to 9pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd., VA Beach. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 16, at 11am, Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Rd. VA Beach. Interment with military honors will take place at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk on Tuesday, March 20, at 1pm. Online condolences can be expressed to the family below.
