Joe, 50, passed away on June 30, 2021 in Virginia Beach, VA. He was born to the late Victor and Rosa Keenan.
Joe was born in Virginia Beach, VA where he lived his whole life. He went to Floyd E. Kellam High School. Joe’s favorite color was blue. His favorite football team was the Cleveland Browns. Joe enjoyed watching any sport – pro-football, college football, basketball, golf, soccer…pretty much anything. Loved fishing – tell him a good spot – he would investigate it. Camping in Shenandoah. Breakfast staple – eggs and spam.
Joe had the gift of gab. He had many friends and many stories to share. His second home was Alibis where he hung out with his friends.
Joe worked for several McDonald’s Franchises practically all of his career except a few years as a tiler and jumped to Wendy’s for a minute. McDonald’s provided steady employment, headaches and laughs. Joe enjoyed the “young” people, “they keep me young”. He always tried to give people a chance and was proud when people succeeded and disappointed upon failure.
Joe is survived by his brother, Ralph “Rick” Keenan; sister, Gloria Chappell (David); sister, Vicky Keenan-Tally (Charles); nephew, Jesse Claytor Jr.; nieces, Christine and Virginia Claytor; 5 great nieces; 4 great nephews; sister, Diane Keenan; nephew, Tory Kinnard (Brandy); two great nephews and one great niece.
Please do not remember June 30th when Joe left us, however, remember Joe on September 8th when he came into this world and blessed us. Remember his smile, laugh, kindness, generosity and overall goodness.
