Joseph Lee Wheeler Sr., 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21, 2019.  Joseph was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Elmer Patrick Wheeler and Mary Wheeler Moore.
Other than his parents, Joseph was proceeded in death by his wife loving wife Betty Lou Wheeler.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Joseph Lee Wheeler Jr. and Robert (Bobby) Patrick Wheeler, his daughter Debbie Wheeler Seals and her husband Donald Ray Seals, his grandchildren Heather Wheeler Brummer and her husband Paul Francis Brummer, David Priest, Kristina Wheeler, Jake Wheeler, and Nick Burkhalter, and his great grand children Chloe Wheeler, Preston Brummer, and Zoe Wheeler.
Viewing will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel at 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Immediately after the viewing a graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
