Julia Mae Campbell Frank

August 22, 1925 - October 25, 2017

Julia Mae Campbell Frank, 92,  daughter of the late William Fleming Campbell and Ethel M. Barden, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

She was a substitute teacher at Tabb Elementary School and was a member of Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was in the Women’s Circle and baked cookies for their Cookie Walk. She had a degree in art and loved to paint and bead. She enjoyed square dancing and antique shopping, loved people, social gatherings and organized the annual Campbell family reunions.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dewey Frank; her son, Charles Daniel Frank, and her great-grandson, Aidan Thomas Frank.

Survivors include her son, William C. “Bill” Frank and his wife, Brenda; her brother, John Davidson Campbell; her sister, Florence Campbell Bernstein; her three grandchildren, William Gary Frank (Katy), Charles Edward Frank (Krissy) and Susan Frank Pringle (Ryan); her four great-grandchildren, Emma and Cole Frank, and Abby and Carly Pringle; a host of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017

at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11 am

Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church, followed by reception until 2 pm. A graveside service will be held 3 pm in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Susan G. Koman  -Tidewater, 6363 Center Drive, Norfolk, VA 23502.
