Kenneth Lancaster, 88, of Virginia Beach was called home to Rest by his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
He was born October 23, 1928 in Littleton, NC to Frank Albert and Maude Mae Lancaster.
Kenneth was an Army Veteran having served his country during the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. He was also a member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge No. 196 AF & AM and Kempsville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Lancaster, his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Left to cherish and carry on his memory are his sons; Charles, Wayne (Donna), Rodrick, Marvin, daughter; Sheila (Mike), seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many friends and family members.
A Visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 7 PM until 8 PM. Masonic rites will be accorded Saturday at 7 PM during the visitation. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday, April 2 at 1 PM with a graveside service following at Rosewood Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to his daughter-in-law, Donna, Loving Care Companion services and Sentara Hospice Services.

The family will receive friends from 7 till 8 PM at the Altmeryer Funeral hme. Masonic rites will be given at 7:00 PM

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday April 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach
