Kenneth Wayne Rose Sr.

August 10, 1945 - April 4, 2018

Went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 4, 2018. He was born in Portsmouth, VA, to his parents, the late Robert and Rebecca Rose. Kenneth is also predeceased by his brother Doyle Rose. Ken retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Master Carpenter.

Ken leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Susan Rose and their family. Daughters, Michelle Reingardt (Brad), Julie Hatcher (Charlie), and Carrie Johnson (Bryan); son, Kenneth Rose Jr. (Shannon); grandchildren, Emily, Riley, Elizabeth, Callie, Andrew, Caleb, Cassidy, Liane, Eli, Meagan, and Kenton; great grandchildren, Annabelle and Piper. As well Kenneth is remembered by his two surviving sisters, Kathy Gies and Judy Ballance.

We recall his love of Bluegrass music and enthusiasm for trains. Most of all Kenneth is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather as well as a kind a generous friend.

In lieu of flowers the family would like any memorial contributions to be made to The American Cancer Society.
