Kevin Alexander Lewis II was born on October 25, 1997, he was a charismatic and handsome son, brother, and friend who was called to rest early Monday morning. Kevin was raised in a loving home in Yorktown, Virginia and later in Newport News, Virginia where he was the youngest of 6 children. Kevin had it all: intelligence, confidence, athletic ability, height, a beautiful smile, and fantastic wit. Being often quiet and in deep thought he still had the ability to engage and forge a relationship with almost anyone. But what he loved most was to spend time with family and friends.
He enjoyed all things outdoors, especially fishing. He would spend his time sitting on the bank of the river waiting for the perfect catch. He loved all animals and sports — especially darts, baseball, and the Washington Redskins. His knowledge base was unbelievable. You could ask him questions on topics from reptiles to Leonardo Da Vinci and he would be able to have a discussion with you. Kevin loved Barnes and Nobles because of his love of reading and learning. In 4th grade Kevin was on a 12th grade reading level and enjoyed learning about history. Kevin attended Woodside High School and went on to work in landscaping and construction.
Kevin is survived by his mother Rocio Sours, grandfather Calvin Lewis, Grandmother Charo, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins here and in Seville, Spain. He had one brother Darius, and four sisters Angelica (Grant McKiver), Andrea, Megan, and Karen. He had four nephews and two nieces.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Kevin Lewis, grandmother Jackie Lewis, grandfather Luis Angulo, and aunt Joan Whitby.
Kevin had many close friends that he enjoyed spending time with. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and finding something to bring excitement to this life each day.
