Memorial Service

Laura A. Brickhouse departed this life for her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 26, 2018.  She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and although she didn’t want to leave her husband, she was looking forward to meeting her Jesus.
Laura was born Laura Ann Graham on May 8, 1938 to parents, Van and Letha Graham in Horry County, S.C.
Besides her parents, Laura is predeceased by her daughter, Teresa Chaney; twin sister, Letha Van Graham; brothers, Lonnie Graham and Ralph Graham.
Surviving Laura, are her husband of 39 years, Calvin C. Brickhouse of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Kimberly Caroon of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandson James Homer Rascoe, Jr. of Hertford, NC; sisters, Mildred Skipper of Marion, S.C.; Joyce Martin of Augusta, GA; and Erva Lee Hilburn of Aynor, S.C.  Surviving brothers are, Wendell Graham of Conway, S.C.; Kenny Graham of China Grove, N.C.; and Earl Graham of Conway, S.C., Brandon Squires of W. Virginia, who looked to her and Calvin as “Papa and Grandma”; sister-in-law Virginia Brickhouse of Camden County, NC. as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Freedom Baptist Church, 308 North Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake, VA on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 1:00p.m.
No visitation or reception will be held, however friends and family may visit with her husband at 2710 Ike St., Lot 128 in Chesapeake, VA 23324.

Although she will sorely be missed, the family takes comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is at peace and with her Jesus, as well as those she loved that have gone before her.

May You Rest in Peace laura…Ive known her since I was a kid growing up in Plymouth park.As I got older we lived next door to her and she helped my daddy take care of me.She would cook for us nightly and watch me as my dad went to work at nites.My daddy always had a special friendship with Laura and Calvin.So I’m sure dad is waiting at the pearly gates to welcome his best friend.Thank you again Laura for all you did for me and my dad.you will be missed.prayers to Calvin and my friend more like sisters Kimberly Caroon​.

Calvin, I hope you haven’t forgotten me – , I knew both of you a long time ago – back when you were with Willie’s band. Laura was such a lovely lady. I’m sure you’ll miss here terribly. My condolences and love go out to you and the family.

My thought’s an prayers are with you Calvin and family. I will miss her deeply. She was like family to me. Spent everyday with her for years at farm fresh in battlefield. We had many good times an hope she is smiling down on us from heaven. She was a great Lady and will always remember them great times we had. Sending love an condolences to their family
