Lisa Michelle Bradford

January 27, 1958 - December 21, 2015

Lisa M. Bradford, 57, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Staunton, Virginia to Beverly Creal and the late John S. Creal Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 32 years, Donald D. Bradford Jr.;son, Derrick M. Bradford; sisters, Elizabeth Kelley (Addison) of Dallas, TX, and Cynthia Laxson of St. Joseph, MO; brothers, James and Steven Creal, both of St. Joseph, MO; and many other family members who will miss her dearly.

Lisa was a proud military wife for 12 years. She was an active member for over 20 years at Kempsville Christian Church where she also taught in the God’s Tods class on Sunday mornings. Lisa offered much support for Derrick’s involvement in sports, cheering him on at all of his games. Donald and Derrick were the most important people in her life. The glow in her smile the day her son was baptized was a reflection of her profound relationship with the Lord. Everyone would remember Lisa for her dignity, grace and smile, but most of all for being a blessing in their lives.

The family will receive friends from 2-3PM Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Dr., Virginia Beach with a memorial service to follow at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kempsville Christian Church Children’s Ministry. Condolences may be expressed to the family at

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
