Margaret Rose "Maggie" Horn

August 14, 1948 - October 3, 2021

Margaret “Maggie” (LaViola) Horn passed away on October 3, 2021 at the age of 73 while surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Portsmouth, VA to Frank and Mary Alice LaViola.

Margaret went on to join the United Sates Air Force where she met her husband of 44 years, Louis G. Horn. The most special thing she did was being a wife and mother.

She was blessed with many, many friends from around town, from Church and from various community activities. She was grateful and felt very blessed for all the wonderful people in her life.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Alice Horn; sister Teresa Park; nephew John (Nikki) Park and their daughter Ava; cousins Elizabeth Simpson and Dominick (Marsha) Bevacqua; as well as all the countless friends that she made over the years.

A visitation will be held for Margaret Horn on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 5-8:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Burial will immediately follow at 1:15pm at Olive Branch Cemetery 2 Cpl J. M. Williams Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23701.
