Margaret Roque, age 63, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2020 after a long battle with cancer in Chesapeake, VA with loving family by her side. Maggie and her loving husband, Francisco Roque Jr., married March 16, 1977 and raised two sons, Francisco III and Taylor.
Maggie was a passionate supporter of the Miami Dolphins and Oscar Smith football. She was an avid music lover of all genres. She loved her career of 16 years as a Customer Service Representative with CMA CGM. Maggie was known for her kindness and genuine compassionate spirit.
Maggie was preceded in death by her father Harold, her mother Margaret, her brother in law Tim, and her brother Mark. Left to carry on Maggie’s spirit, her husband Francisco, her 2 sons Cisco (Chelsea) and Taylor (Kandace), her siblings Harold (Cora), Michael (Larry), Mary, Richard, Suzanne, and her grandchildren TJ, Laila, Hayley, Grayson, and Oliver.
A Catholic Mass will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Great Bridge Recreation Center at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Margaret Roque Memorial fund linked below where a final donation will be made in Maggie’s name to The Doorways, a non-profit hospitality hotel, and VCU Massey Cancer Center.

I just learned of Maggie’s passing. I only worked with her a short time but she made me feel like a friend. What a kind person Maggie was and the world surely has a huge void now that she is gone.
