Maria Susana Bergonio Tagasa, 67, of Newport News, passed away April 1, 2020.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 5 from 10AM to 3PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Denbigh Chapel, 12893 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA.
As a frequent shopper to the Newport News Home Depot, I often had contact with Ms Sue. Even though I did not know Sue on a personal level, I found her to be consistently pleasant, well maintained and professional. She always welcomed me with her smile and her "Hey,Hey,Hey" greeting. Sue will be missed not only by family and her team mates but by the hundreds of folks she came in contact with on a daily basis.
God holds a special place for folks like Sue and her friends and family can take comfort in knowing she is resting in peace with our Lord!

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
