Marion and I met in 2009 and our friendship grew over the years. We found out we had a lot in common. Same birth year, graduated from HS in 1982 and she knew my father while they both worked at MHI. She loved being involved with our community. We served as County Commissioners together and on the Currituck Kids board. I am glad I had this time to have Marion as my friend. She will be missed dearly on earth.

Marion was taken way too soon. You will always be in my heart. Never to be forgotten. You were like another daughter to my mom and another mother to my daughter Jessica.
We love you Marion. Fly high Cupcake !!

I worked with Marion back in the day at MHI. She was such a joyful happy soul. I am so shocked to hear of her passing. The only thought is that is is now in the loving arms of our Savior.

I had the privilege of meeting Marion on Saturday evening November 30th, with introduction by Tonya Darden as we celebrated Christmas, fellowship, and friends. Marion’s vivacious personality kept us laughing as we each took turns to share about ourselves. The news of Marion’s passing from Tonya Friday morning was such a shock and I’m unable to imagine how her family and those close to her feel at this time, especially so close to Christmas. Losing my dad on December 12th, 1994, saddens me but I also rejoice each day for his life, the legacy he left, and I thank God for the love of Christ’s birth. I also thank God that I was able to meet Marion, share many laughs, and share a hug as wishing her Merry Christmas and safe travels. May Christ’s peace and love be with each of you during this difficult time.

Marion was once my boss and I enjoyed working for her. I don’t remember her not having a smile on her face. She was kind-hearted , giving, and a fun person. Rest In Peace, Marion! You’ll be missed.

Marion was one of the sweetest people I knew. Marion was always with a smile on her face. You never saw her when she did not speak and give you a Hug. I guess God needed another Angel.

My very sweet friend…. I received the heartbreaking the night that we lost you and I feel like part of me has gone with you. Our world and community and has lost one of the most genuine loving and selfless people I have ever met. God bless you dear sweet friend. Heaven definitely has a whirlwind spirit added, but we miss you and will always love you.
I’m sorry I can’t rejoice that you are with your savior because I am selfish and want you here with your beautiful smile and beautiful spirit. Thank you for all you have done for Currituck Kids charity and for all you have done for the thousands of people you have helped.

Marion was a light in her life’s encounters. She was always passionate about whatever she was doing, no matter how big or small. Marion will live in every life she touched, because lives were never the same once one experienced her friendship. Marion is with her Savior and our loss is her gain. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones left here to cherish her memory.
