Maritza Sepulveda

April 15, 1955 - August 26, 2019

Maritza Sepulveda, 64, left us on August 26, 2019, with her family by her side at Mary Immaculate Hospital, in Newport News, VA.

Maritza was born April 15, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, to Carlos Sepulveda and Clementina Gonzalez-Sepulveda. She was preceded in her passing by her parents; her brothers: Dixon Sepulveda, Wilfredo Sepulveda, Edward Sepulveda and William Sepulveda.

Maritza was a loving woman to everyone she met in life. She celebrated each day living life to the fullest whether it was sharing her humorous spirit, playing a joke or two, or being with her family. Her pride and joy came from caring for and being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Mario Flores-Matute; son, Johnny Santana, wife, Irma Medina-Santana, two grandsons Johnny Santana, II and Maximus Santana; her daughter and best friend, Marisol Santana; her siblings: Carlos Sepulveda, Fernando Sepulveda, Margie Sepulveda, Eliseo Sepulveda and Yamilet Lorenzo; her children’s father; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

What our families say...

My family and I are grateful to Angie and the entire Altmeyer team for providing a thoughtful viewing and funeral service for my Auntie. They were kind and respectful through the entire process, listening attentively and carrying out our requests with compassion. Thank you for your help, but most importantly, thank you for your sincerity!
