Marvin Ray Carroll, Jr.

June 18, 1959 - September 4, 2018

Marvin Ray Carroll Jr., 59, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Marvin was born June 18, 1959 to Marvin and Ruth Carroll in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was a graduate of First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach.

Marvin was a true beach local as he never missed a day at Mary’s. He truly loved hanging out with his friends at Oceana Muffler where he became their expert grill master. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and anything to do with working on engines. He found a second home at Garrett Johnson, INC where he was able to continue his love of flying by flying drones. Marvin was truly a jokester, but in times of need you could always count on him.

Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Marvin Ray Carroll and Ruth Carroll. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Robert Carroll; his sister Lori; her three daughters Brittany, Hollie, and Elizabeth (Lorenzo); his great nephew Carl; great niece Everly; and his brother Kenneth Carroll (Marcey) and their children Kenneth, Nick, Jordan, Serena, and Amber. He also leaves behind dear friends Eddie Chaplain (Jeanie) and their son Wilson, Ricky Chaplain, and Ernie Hill.
