VIRGINIA BEACH –   Mary Ann Moy, 84, peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2021 at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mary Ann was born on May 17, 1937 to the late Walter and Edna Harris in Baltimore, Maryland. She relocated to Virginia, where she met her soon to be husband, James H. Moy, Jr. while applying for employment at Soon Gain Restaurant. Mary Ann retired from Lakewright Hotel as a dining room manager for over 40 years.
Mary Ann is predeceased by her three brothers, Skip, John, and Brooke Harris.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 51 years, James H. Moy, Jr.; two daughters, Debra Sutphin (Rusty) of Chesapeake, VA, Tammy A. Scott Griffin, of Georgia; grandsons, Shane and Jimmy Scott; sister, Amelia Balmert of Maryland; and many special friends, especially from the many events she enjoyed attending at Shag Club Affairs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 11:00 AM at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, 5033 Rouse Dr., Virginia Beach 23462. Pastor David Foote will be officating. All are welcome to join for a memorial luncheon following the service at Crazy Buffet, 1745 Parkview Dr. in Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad of Virginia Beach, PO Box 62345, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23466 or Family Bible Church, 5545 Susquehanna Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464.

Jimmy, and family, we are so sorry to hear of your lost of the love of your life, in the death of your dear wife, Mary Ann. See was very caring, kind, and creative, with her crafts, always smiling and good to be with.
