Mary Frances “Francie” Tobkin Seedborg. Francie was born in Portland, OR. She had worked as special education teacher and loved spending time with and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. Francie was a member of the Rotary Club, enjoyed skiing, ice skating, quilting and cooking with the grandchildren. She directed 2 plays at Binghampton high school. Francie was predeceased by her loving husband, John Sherwood Seedborg and her parents, Ambrose and Mary Kenna Tobkin.
Francie is survived by two daughters Tina (Steve Requa), and Rebecca (Ron Conrad), and her grandchildren Lexi and Maddie (Requa), and Kara, Baileigh, and Cameron (Conrad); cousins, Mary Kay, Maureen, Peggy and Fred; and a host of other family and friends.
Mary Frances Seedborg had been struggling with health issues even before her husband passed in December. With the family just starting to recover from John’s passing, Francie went to the hospital because she was not feeling well. They immediately admitted her. While in the hospital the family had John’s Life Celebration service in NY. Although Francie was unable to attend the service, she was able to provide her input. She passed while still in the hospital. Through it all, she managed to keep her sense of humor. Honor the memory of Francie and show your support for the family by making a donation in her name to assist the family with the unexpected and mounting expenses during this difficult time. Donations may be made at www.TMCFunding.com. No amount is too small, and everything is greatly appreciated.
A celebration of Francie’s life is planned at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Nurses, Respiratory Therapist and staff and the Chaplin in the ICU and IMCU at Sentara Princess Ann Hospital. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.

My deepest condolences to your family and friends. Grieving the loss of someone is never easy, especially when you’ve lost 2 in just the last year. I hope you find comfort in God’s promise that will soon occur, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” - Isaiah 25:8.
