Meloni T. Luna

May 2, 1972 - June 23, 2021

Meloni T. Luna, 49, departed this life on the morning of June 23,2021 at Waterside Health and Rehab Center in Norfolk, VA. She was born May 2, 1972 in Philadelphia, PA. She is the daughter of Willie and the late Ruthia Cobia Ingram. She attended Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, VA.

Meloni lived in Texas for a number of years until 2017 when she moved back to Virginia Beach to be caregiver for her father, Willie. Meloni cared for her father until she became ill in March 2021. She loved all of her children, she called Hope her lucky charm. The latter years of her life she came to know how much she was loved by her family and friends. One thing we know for sure Meloni will no longer suffer from pain nor sickness, she is at peace.

Some would say Meloni is gone too soon but our Heavenly Father would say no she is right on time. Because My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. I knew her beginning and her end and it was time for her to rest in Me.

Meloni leaves behind her father, Willie D. Ingram, her husband, Daniel Luna, her children, Brian Bowden, Teranni Jenkins, Sanford Jenkins, Marissa Lane, Jeremy Lane, Daniel and Daniella, Sierra, Isaiah and Ruthia Hope Luna. Uncles: James (Alfredia) Ingram, Joseph (Mary) Ingram, Carl (Sharon) Ingram, Aunts: Dorothy (Albert) Little, Sarah (Lee) McMillan, Melinda ( )Torres, and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rest

Unknown author

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be

He closed His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me”

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away

Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay,

But when we were told you were sleeping in peace and free from pain,

We do not wish you back to suffer that again.

There is No Night Without a Dawning

By Helen Steiner Rice

There is no night without a dawning

No winter without a spring

And beyond the dark horizon

Our hearts will once more sing

For those who leave us for a while

Have only gone away

Out of a restless care worn world

Into a brighter day.
