Michael David Bailey, age 62, was called to be an angel on November 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents William Joseph Bailey and Anna Lee Coe, his brother Dennis Bailey and his sister Victoria Susan Bailey.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 28 years Deborah S. Bailey of Virginia Beach; step-daughters Lisa (Chris) Leishman of Yorktown and Bonni (Alex) Smith of Virginia Beach; 2 precious grandsons Blake and Thomas; siblings Sharon (Mac) Hines of Florida, Billie Ann (Rick) Stivers of Colorado, Joetta (John) Newlin of South Carolina, Jim (Linda) Bailey of Georgia, Manda (Jason) Trujillo of Colorado; brother-in-law Terry (Meredith) Stevens of Norfolk as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Mike was an avid golfer and a member of the Southside Golf Association who boasted the license plate O2BGLFN.  He was an independent contractor with FedEx Ground as Beach Bailey Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Beach Lodge #169 and past Grand Chancellor of the Domain of Virginia.

A memorial service for Mike will be held on Monday, November 26 at 6pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel. In keeping with the celebration of Mike’s birthday, please bring a dish to share for the reception to follow. He was known for his infectious laugh, his loving heart, and perfect hair.
