Norman Dale Huff

August 28, 1932 - December 25, 2019

Norman D. Huff, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Virginia Beach, VA surrounded by
his family. Norm was born August 28, 1932 in Champion, OH to Lester and Cora Huff. He was a graduate
of Champion High School where he played basketball all four years as a star forward leading the team to
two consecutive County Championships.
He was an athlete and lifelong sports fan, devoted to his beloved Duke Blue Devils. He’s responsible for
the coaching and mentoring of generations of basketball players always reminding his guys to “shoot the
ball!”
A Buck Sergeant serving in the United States Marine Corps, he was a veteran of the Korean War. Norm
was an avid reader, a lover of flea markets and good bargains and any sport that involved a ball. He was
a believer in daily ice cream and that the best food came from hot dog shops.
Norm was a humble man of faith and lived his life as a witness and testament to his belief in Jesus
Christ.
He loved hearing his family laugh. Left to cherish his memory are Shirley McDonald, Tami and John
Rolfe, Jodi Huff, Kindra and Adam Greene, and his grandchildren Brad and Brooke Rolfe and Chad and
Ashley Huff. He is also survived by his sister Dolores Warman of Courtland, OH and extensive family and
friends.

What our families say...

Altmeyer was incredible in their reliability and conscientious effort to detail. I personally worked from beginning to end with Joseph Limback. What an absolute blessing that was. From the first meeting we had a very easy communication path because Joseph took complete control to oversee our families welfare. Our family couldn’t have asked for better care and comfort of our love one.
