Olga Christopher

June 7, 1931 - February 12, 2021

Olga Christopher was a caring wife, mother, grandma (Oma), great grandma, and friend. She left this world on February 12, 2021 at age 89.  She was born to Hermann and Brigitta Hicke on June 7, 1931. She met her husband, Robert Christopher in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Together, they had 4 children: Robert III, Carmen, Michael and Tiffany.

Olga loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and anyone wanting to eat. She was notorious for feeding people until they were about to pop.  She looked forward to cooking meals for church or fundraisers whenever asked.  She loved telling stories to anyone that would listen about the life she shared with Robert.  She also loved to crochet.  She was always asked by others to teach them how to crochet, although she couldn’t read a pattern to save her life.  She was famous for saying, “I have to count the stitches and then I can show you.”

A funeral service is scheduled for 1pm on February 20, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, 5033 Rouse Dr., Virginia Beach, VA  23462. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Olga’s honor to ReIGNITE Church at:

What our families say...

In my opinion, there is no better facility in Virginia than Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Not only was Chris Sisler there to hold my hand every step of the way, his family members were holding the door on the day of the funeral to help and encourage me. I will never forget their grace. He led me and my family through the process as a personal friend and neighbor, and as the ultimate professional.
