Oscar Kenneth Handle was born in Hampton, Virginia to Albert W. Handle and Virginia J. Handle on December 5, 1947. Oscar grew up being the funny man – he always had jokes and was always making people laugh.

Oscar was a skilled fisherman and waterman – he loved seafood and he was an active scallop-boater. When Oscar wasn’t at sea, he could be found at home watching old western movies or hunting. Oscar called himself “The Last of the Mohicans” because all his friends predeceased him. Oscar was never a man to lay down and let life take him anywhere he did not want to go. He beat cancer twice and fought in the Vietnam war. Oscar was your typical friendly guy – his signature was to give everybody he met a nickname.

Oscar K. Handle goes to join his sister, Cookie, and numerous friends in Heaven where they are undoubtedly laughing at all of his jokes.

Oscar K. Handle leaves behind his children Kenneth Wayne Handle, Virginia “Candy” McPaters, Tasha McCown; brothers Timothy handle and Chuck Handle; sister Debra Smith, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

He was a neighbor friend and a tough son of a gun. He always spoke what he was thinking. God bless. Condolences to the family.
