Patricia A. "Pat" Hendershot

March 5, 1946 - August 26, 2017

Patricia A. “Pat” Hendershot, of Virginia Beach, entered Eternal Life on August 26, 2017.  She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 5th, 1946.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Devine; father, Francis Devine; and brother, Francis Devine, Jr.

Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her beloved husband, Robert Hendershot; son, George Hinterleitner and his wife Jessie Hinterleitner; step-son Duke Hendershot; step-daughter Barbara Johnson and her husband Michael Johnson; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Myleigh, Khloe, Haidyn, Kody and Tyler; siblings Helen, Diane, Doddy, Janet, James and Joseph; further survived by other relatives and friends.

Patricia worked as a dietary aid for 26 years at Marian Manor Retirement Community, before retiring 2 years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her husband at their home, sitting on the porch relaxing. Also loved spending time with her grandchildren which she adored.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Pat’s legacy will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Southside Chapel (5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach, VA) at 4:00 PM.
