Paul Cleveland Grimsley Jr, was born on October 31, 1948, in East Orange, NJ to Paul C Grimsley Sr and Geneva Lindsay Grimsley. On Wednesday November 24, 2021, at the age of 73 in Virginia Beach, VA Paul transitioned this life from labor to reward.
At the tender age of 5 Paul moved to Haleburg, AL along with his brother Larry Grimsley. Paul and Larry resided with their Great Uncle Jack Grimsley and Great Aunt Willie Lee Grimsley. Paul’s Uncle and Aunt instilled many values in him, but most importantly they taught him the value hard work. As a young man Paul worked on his family’s farm. Paul was a diligent worker, ambitious, and selfless. The work ethic Paul obtained at a young age carried on throughout his life.
As a young man Paul took a job driving trucks for a water company, which allowed him to travel to various cities throughout the state of Alabama. He took that job, to help put his brother through school. The water company moved him to Pollard, AL. While living in Pollard had many jobs and learned various trades. Paul was a visionary and that ambition lead him to be an exceptional businessman. While living in Alabama, Paul owned several businesses and one, he was particularly proud of P & B Car Sales. While working in Pollard, he met Bettie H Perryman. Paul and Bettie were married on October 23, 1968. Paul took a job with W.R. Bonsal, where he became a supervisor that moved him and his family to Pensacola, FL. All of his children possess his quality of being a dedicated entrepreneur and a business owner.

Paul continues his journey of being a devoted businessman at heart, in his later years Paul moved to Virginia Beach, VA where started a S & P Trucking. In 2008 as his final business, he opened Classic Detail and Car Wash. All of his passion, integrity, and dedication were poured into S & P and Classic Detail. These businesses were initially, just a vision that became a reality. This also allowed Paul to expand his entrepreneurship . With both of those businesses he was able to build a legacy for his children, that will continue to be passed down from generation to generation.

Anyone that encountered Paul always spoke highly of him. He was selfless and helped others. In his spare time he loved watching Old Western Movies, especially Tombstone, racing, which to him there were no dull moments from cars crashing and until the final flag was out he was always on the edge of his seat. While enjoy those movies and watching racing events, you could always find his beloved dog Bentley right by his side.
