I met Paul while working at Farm Fresh. We became great friends, working together, and hung out all the time. I was a member of OVFD and he would tag along with me to calls. Paul was a great guy and a great friend. My condolences to his family.

Paul and Robin were our neighbors for about 13 years. He and I would talk shop from time to time sknce we were both in the medical field. I just saw and chatted with him not even 2 weeks ago, who knew it would be our last conversation. Our sincerest condolences to Robin and Landon.

For those who do not get a newspaper………………………….
Lord, I don’t know why you chose to call Paul home so, so early. Paul had to leave a loving wife, his best friend and son, Landon and his furbaby, Carmen. I pray that you would let Robin and Landon know why You have to bring Paul home so early. Paul was a good friend, looked out for everyone, You gave him a GREAT servant’s heart and sense of humor. Thank you for the time I spent with Paul. To know him was to love him. Paul knew MANY people and was loved by many in return. Thank You, Lord for the gift of Paul… Please watch over Robin and Landon. I pray Landon always remembers how much his dad loved him. He spoke of Landon with such love and pride, often. Paul, fare thee well. Your shift is over. Well done thy good and faithful servant. You well earned your angel wings.

Paul and I were neighborhood friends growing up. He was destined for the FD as he would always pretend he was on Squad 51 from “Emergency”. A loyal friend, we reconnected after years apart and stayed connected thru social media. I will miss his friendship. Rest in Peace Captain. ❤

I had the honor of serving with Paul in the Virginia Beach Fire Department. He was a gentle giant with the soul of a sage. He was a born leader in everything he decided to challenge. The thousands of lives he touched especially on a rescue scene will never be forgotten. I know his family, his co-workers and friends will never forget our times together.
