Phyllis Jean Kinder, 86, passed on to her eternal home and loving husband, Shelby Gene Kinder, Sr. on the afternoon of Friday, June 28, 2019 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was born January 29, 1933 in Premier, West Virginia to the late James and Goldie Facello. She was a retired Day Care Teacher at Gateway Freewill Baptist Church where she was also a faithful member for over 40 years.
Phyllis’ memory will be forever cherished by her son, Shelby Gene Kinder, Jr. (Patricia), grandchildren, Christopher Allen Kinder and Christine Ann Erb (Walter); 5 great grandchildren; sister, JoAnn; brothers, Frank, Jr., Johnny and Roger; dear and devoted friends, Eva Jo Dove and Sondra Holmes as well as a host of additional family members and friends. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all of Phyllis’ Home Healthcare Providers.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Gateway Freewill Baptist Church, 5473 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will be held at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Miller’s Rd. in Suffolk.
