Richard Allington Lake

January 18, 1933 - December 25, 2020

Richard Allington Lake, 87, died December 25, 2020.  Richard was born in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda to the late Wendall and Myrtle Mapp Lake.  He worked as a painter/ carpenter for the public housing division of the New York City Housing Authority.  Richard enjoyed listening to Jazz and Frank Sinatra and watching soccer and cricket.  He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey Lake; siblings, Mavis Palmer, Fredrick and Allan Lake.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Glenn Lake and his wife Antoinette, Parris Lake, and Joanne Lopez and her husband Ernest; sisters, Eunice Watts, Cecily Davis, and Merle Lupi; two grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake.  Express condolences to the family below.    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation ( Click the link (  below to watch a live stream.
