Roger H. Feltz

Portsmouth- 84, passed away on January 4, 2020.
He was born in Buffalo, New York to the late William and Florence Feltz. Roger retired from the U.S. Navy as an OMC and later retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Harriet Feltz. He is survived by four children, Lloyd Feltz and his wife Sabrina, Clayton Feltz, Joycinda (Feltz) Stewart, and Hope Feltz; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alvina Dow and Joan Bischoff; nephew, Donald Bischoff; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the states.
Roger will be buried at sea with full Navy Honors at a later date.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Emily Green Shores Retirement Home for their devoted love and care shown to our dad during the past eight years. Also a special thank you to Westminster Canterbury Hospice Care for dad’s comfort care.

I worked with Roger for a number of years at the Corps of Engineers. He was a good man and I am sorry that he is gone. I wish all the best to his family and friends.

I will definitely miss you, Roger. I’ll miss you playing cards. I will miss going out to eat. You were a wonderful friend. Rest in peace my friend.

There were so many fond memories that I have of my time with Uncle Rog, but his devotion to Harriet and the kids and his kindness to all with whom he came in contact stands out the most!!! RIP Shipmate…Fair Winds and Following Seas!!!
