Ronald Lee Barton

June 28, 1961 - November 30, 2019

Ronnie was born in Lumberton, NC. He died at Riverside Medical Center after succumbing to cancer. He is survived by his mother, Betty Powell; his eldest sister, Debi Adderley; his brother, Steve Barton; and his other sister, Becky Cash. His father, Jack Barton, predeceased him and Ron will be laid to rest beside him.

Ronnie was a child of God. He went to church with his mom every time the door was open. Ronnie was a happy person and loved everyone he met. He may have been an adult by his years, but he  was always a child at heart. Over the years, he lived in many places, got to travel, and even went to Spain and on a cruise. Ronnie always had an enthusiasm for cars, trucks, and racing. He even got to meet Richard Petty with his brother, Steve. He also loved horses and was a long-time patron of Dream Catchers, an equine therapy program for those with special needs.

What our families say...

My family and I are grateful to Angie and the entire Altmeyer team for providing a thoughtful viewing and funeral service for my Auntie. They were kind and respectful through the entire process, listening attentively and carrying out our requests with compassion. Thank you for your help, but most importantly, thank you for your sincerity!
