Rosenell Grant, Jr.

June 24, 1959 - June 14, 2021

Rosenell Grant, Jr. of Newport News passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021. Rosenell was preceded by his mother, Ernestine Grant, and his brother Dexter A. Grant, Sr.

Rosenell enlisted in the United States Army in 1977 and retired in 1999 where Mr. Grant, Jr. worked as a U.S. Army Government Employee. Rosenell enjoyed fishing and he was a care-free man that never let anything bother him. Rosenell loved his family, especially his daughter Katrina and his “grandboy” Eric. Thanksgiving was the holiday of choice for food, fun, laughter and family all around.

Left to remember Rosenell Grant, Jr. is his father, Rosenell Grant, Sr.; his wife Laura Eason Grant; daughter Katrina Eason Redfield; and grandson Eric Eason.

A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Denbigh Chapel (12893 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News VA 23608) on Monday, June 21, 2021 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

A service will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Denbigh Chapel on Friday, June 25 at 12:00 pm with a graveside honors to immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery (5310 Milners Road, Suffolk VA 23434)
