Roy and Sheila Brady passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at their home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Roy was 72 years old and Sheila was 73 years old. Their lives were cut short by an inexplicable act of violence.

Roy was born on September 13, 1946 in Texas, he served in the United States Marines and later the United States Navy, serving a total of 23 years. Sheila was born on June 22, 1946 in Mississippi. They married in 1968.

Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors as well as spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and curiosity.

Sheila enjoyed anything beach, jewelry making with beads, knitting, and most of all her family, her grandkids and spending time with them. She was truly a very compassionate, caring person who would do anything for anyone.

Roy and Sheila will be missed by many.  Among them are their oldest son, Roy, Jr, wife Becky and their youngest daughter Rebecca, husband Scott, seven grandkids, four great grandkids, many nieces and nephews, Roy’s brother John and sister Jeannette and their beloved dog Lucy.

Funeral services for Roy and Sheila Brady will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Gathering is from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm with the service at 6:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

In lieu of flowers, the family request continuing prayers for all who are deeply saddened by the tragedy. A gofundme account has also been setup to assist the family with funeral expenses as well.

The family wants to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers, love and support during this very difficult time.
