Sherrill Wallis Kennedy, 77, of Norfolk, VA, peacefully departed this life in her daughter’s arms to be with the Lord on January 27, 2021. Better known as Sherri, she led a vibrant, purpose-filled life. Pursuing a career in education, she graduated from Indiana University and later moved to Virginia Beach in 1977. She eventually retired from Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Sherri leaves behind her daughter Kirstin Murray Caldwell and precious grandchildren Cassandra, Austin, Ryan, Emma, and Noah. A special thank you to Marrian Nichael for her unconditional love, encouragement and friendship to both Sherri and Kirstin. A special thanks also goes to the wonderful staff from Grace Hospice. There will be a Remembrance and Celebration of Sherri’s incredible life at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
