Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of Sue Sullivan. We used to go to Holy Spirit Catholic Church with her and she also was my mom’s boss at the vb schools cafeterias. She was really nice.

So sorry to hear about Sue’s passing. I met her in 1976 at Independence Junior High School. She was an excellent supervisor, fair and understanding. May she rest in peace.

Sue Sullivan was a wonderful woman and a wonderful Food Service Supervisor. I worked many years with Sue for Virginia Beach Public Schools Food Service. She was very strict but friendly at the same time. She had Rules and we all tried to follow them, the same thing was expected from all of us.
She will surely be missed by all who knew her.
Sue is probably in Heaven right now Supervising and Using Her White Glove to check if all is in order and Super clean.
My thoughts and Prayers go out to her family
Sincerely, Judy Riggs

Dorothy, Your mom had a unique personality, special whistle talent and a strong personality. I enjoyed having coffee with her at “her” table. She was blest with your devotion. I know your memories are very special and precious. You are loved.

I have known this special lady since I was little girl. This was my second home. I had so many fun times being there over the years. When she would go out to the stores and would return, she would always say I have a surprise for you all. It would always be our favorite candy bar or little toys like jacks that Dorothy and I would play. Always something different but we sure loved our little surprises. On Saturday mornings we would wake up to Johnny Mathis playing on the stereo with her whistling to the music. You just felt happy when you woke up. That day was cleaning day. Dorothy and I just mainly cleaned her room. She did everything else. She would do anything for her children and always supported them. She was very proud of her family. I go past her house that she once lived in with her family quite often as it is in my route I go daily. I always look up at that house and think how lucky I was to have known her and how I have such loving memories of the family who once lived there. You will always have a special place in my heart. God knew you were ready and I know you are with your son Jimmy.
