Telesforo Francisco "Terry" Caparaz Sr.

November 22, 1961 - May 4, 2021

Telesforo (Terry) Caparaz Sr., age 59, died unexpectedly May 4’th, 2021, at his home in Norfolk Virginia. He was born on November 22nd, 1961, in Newport Rhode Island, the Son of Janet(Minnie Polchies) Donado and Reynaldo Donado Sr.

Terry worked as a roofer for over thirty years. He Graduated with his G.E.D. in 1983, following graduation he continued his education to be an electrician. Terry was a helping and caring man to whom he assisted a victim of a scam by repairing her roof free of charge; this was discovered by Virginia Pilot where they wrote an article about his kindness. Terry married Synthia Mullins in 1994 on Indian Island, Oldtown, Maine, where they settled in Norfolk, Virginia. Terry and Synthia celebrated 27 years of marriage. Terry was a hard-working man that did not pass a job no matter how hard it was.

He was not only a hard-working man, but he was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather; he had a great love and passion for his family and people. Terry was predeceased by his mother Janet (Minnie Polchies) Donado, brother Dominic Polchies, and biological father Dominidor Santos Caparaz |. Surviving in addition to his wife Synthia Caparaz, are his sons David Caparaz, Telesforo Caparaz, his daughters Breanda Skogman, Catherin Caparaz, his grandchildren Ava Caparaz, Ian Alley, his brothers, Reynoldo Donado, Robert (Bert) Polchies, Jerry Moore, Conrad Caparaz, his sisters Mary Godfrey, Franny Eldridge, Priscilla (Cissy) Dana, Erlinda Mesa, Janean Neptune, and his many many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Terry’s memorial and celebration of life will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, May 16th at Mount Trashmore Shelter #1, Address is 310 Edwin Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Those who wish to remember Terry may bring food if available but not necessary. If he has sent you a drawing, please bring it and share his passion for art. Terry will have his final resting place on Turtle Island on the Penobscot Reservation as his dying wish on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021.
