Teresa Lynn Griffith Garcia, 58, left us Monday, January, 20, 2020, after a prolonged illness. She was at home surrounded by her family.
Born September 28th 1961, in Danville, Virginia to Harold and Margaret Griffith. Never faint of heart, she loved painting, but was known for random debauchery, including tipping cows and breaking into buildings.
Teresa brought light and love to everyone who knew her. She is deeply loved by her friends and family. She loved art, gardening, and had a sharp eye for real estate and purses. Summers were spent camping and on the water with her daughters, traveling the world with her best friend, and long talks with a bottle of wine.
She’s survived by her husband Danny, daughters Emma, Myra, and Michelle, and her parents Harold and Margaret, as well as her loving friends. Her last few months were spent making memories like climbing mountains in Austria, watching her youngest, Emma, get married, loving her sweet cats Loki and Chaplin, and connecting with those she held most dear.
Services will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at Altmeyer Funeral Home. Flowers and mementos should be sent by Friday, January 24th, 2020 to 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
To honor Teresa’s request, and in the spirit of truly celebrating the life she lived, the family asks you to refrain from wearing black.

We are saddened by the news of Teresa's illness and passing. We had lost touch since she left the Rose Hall dental lab in the mid 90's. We were so grateful when she stepped in to do our lab work during an unexpected time of illness and surgery for me in the mid 1990's. She was an excellent and talented Dental Technician. A great sweet friend and colleague. By the pictures we have seen in the tribute video we can see that she lived a happy and fulfilled life. She deserved it. So sad that it was so shortened. To her loving family, receive our condolences on your great loss. With love, William & Miriam Sussman
