Thomas Anthony Crennan, III, of Virginia Beach, entered Eternal Life on November 21, 2018 at the age of 80 years. He was born on August 22, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas Aloysius Crennan, Jr. and Pauline (formerly Laklinski) Crennan. He proudly served His Country in the US Navy. As a civilian, he worked in technology support in banking, and also as a truck driver for Fromm Electric.
Left to cherish Thomas’ memory are his wife of fifty-six years, Diana (formerly Fisher) Crennan; son Thomas Joseph, Sr. and his wife Beverly; son Kevin Michael and his wife Dawn; daughter Mary Elizabeth Crennan Raba and her husband James Howard Raba; daughter Gwen Jones Schwenck and her husband Robert; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Gerard Crennan and his wife Margaret; and many other family and friends.
Thomas was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and participated in the Mens’ Club, Sunshine Club, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Member. He was also a member of the Tidewater Coin Club.
Visitation for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Altmeyer Funeral Home (5033 Rouse Dr. Virginia Beach, VA) from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (3314 Sandra Ln, Virginia Beach, VA) at 10:00 AM. Committal Service Friday, November 30, Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 Noon (please meet at the cemetery).
