On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Tyrone Edward Waters Jr., loving husband and father of three children, received his wings at age 36.
Tyrone was born on May 7, 1983 in Camden, NJ, to Tyrone E. Waters, Sr. and Alisa Harris (Jenkins). He attended St. Bartholomew Catholic School and graduated from Camden County Technical School. Immediately after graduation Tyrone enlisted into the United States Army. During his time serving he was stationed in Mannheim, Germany, where he met his one and only love, Eva. They traveled across the world experiencing new adventures and visiting many wondrous sites. He received orders to Ft. Eustis, VA in 2004, where he decided that this was going to be home.
On June 14, 2004, he excitedly married his love, Eva Irene Hines in Upper Marlboro, MD. They relocated to Newport News, Virginia, where they raised three beautiful girls; Taniyah, Tierra and Tiana and we cannot forget his pet children, Bella and Izzy.
After serving in the Army, Tyrone worked as an Information Technology Specialist for the Department of Defense and Department of the Army where he was well known and loved throughout the entire Ft. Eustis community and McDonald Army Hospital. Tyrone was also completing his education and earning his Master Degree in Project IT Management.
Tyrone had a passion for cooking, fine cigars, funny memes, DVR shows, sports, traveling, and crafting his own spirits. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. It was common for Tyrone to call you on his frequent trips to the store (Home Depot), having the longest most entertaining and realistic conversations. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, helping everyone, and his kind, loving, and compassionate spirit. In the family, he was everyone’s favorite.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his grandparents whom he adored, Clarence & Addie Jenkins and William & Dorothy Waters. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Eva Waters; his three daughters, Taniyah, Tierra, and Tiana; his parents, Tyrone Waters Sr, Alisa and James Harris; his in-laws; Willis and Jackie Hines; his sister, Lawanda, Kelli, and Tiesha; his brother and best friend, Hamisi; stepbrother Terrill; brothers-in-law, Antoine, Larry, and Daniel; a host of relatives, extended family members, coworkers, and good friends.
Altmeyer Denbigh Chapel, 12893 Jefferson Ave. Newport News, VA 23608 will be conducting the services with a visitation from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Re-pass will follow immediately after service in the fellowship hall.
