Vaughn “Steve” Kramer, 62, of Newport News, VA passed away Friday, March 1, 2019.

While in the U.S. Navy, he served in Vietnam, received an honorable discharge and good conduct medal. He was a member of American Legion Post 25, Hampton, VA; enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and anything pertaining to the outdoors and nature. He had a big heart, a loud, contagious laugh with a huge smile, along with a big sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Adella Kramer.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Kramer; his son, Stephen Turner; his daughters, Jennie Vandal and her husband Gary, Rebecca Gwaltney and her husband Joe; his grandchildren, Gary Vandal II, Kaden Vandal, Chloe Vandal and Abigail Gwaltney.

A celebration of life service will be held on March 24, 2019 beginning at 2PM at the American Legion Post Number 25- 7609 Marshall Ave, Newport News, VA. Altmeyer Funeral Home- Riverside Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
