Wayne Francis Dextradeur

June 16, 1957 - September 10, 2021

Wayne Francis Dextradeur 64, gained his wings, boarded his pirate ship, and sailed away to the heavens from Virginia Beach on September 10, 2021. Wayne was born on June 16, 1957 in New Bedford Massachusetts to Arthur F. Dextradeur and Jean Marie Summerell. He was a graduate of Kempsville High School class of 1976.

Wayne was a free sprit that never met a stranger. His love for life was matched by his outward personality and contagious smile. Wayne spent most of his adult life living in the Outer Banks where he loved to fish and photograph the beautiful scenery that the Outer Banks has to offer. When Wayne was not involved in these activities he would be found giving rides in his Karaoke Cab and hanging out on the beach with many of his two and four legged friends.

In addition to being predeceased by his parents and grand parents, Wayne was predeceased by his Aunt, Shirley E. Rountree. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Leon E. Dextradeur, his wife Leann, his nephew Dillon, his wife Sidney, and their precious daughter Delany.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 929 S. Battlefield Boulevard Chesapeake Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Brain Tumor Society at braintumor.org or to the Outer Banks SPCA to support his furry friends at obxspca.org. Condolences may be left for the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
