Wayne Young, 63 years old went on to glory on April 24, 2019. She was the youngest daughter of Wilbert and Mary Spruill of Norfolk, VA.
As a Military wife, Wayne settled in Oak Harbor, Washington, where she served as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Naval Hospital Whidbey Island. She was recognized as Civilian of the Year and supported her community as a Girl Scouts leader, Federal Employed Women member, and a faithful Diabetic Support Group facilitator. Some may remember her as a grief counselor with the NASWI Mother-Infant Unit support group.
Wayne was the fun-loving, lighthearted, kind and a devoted wife to 1stSgt Westley Young Sr. USMC (Ret). She is survived by her three children Westley Jr. wife Marie, Wynndee, Wryan; and grandchild Samra; two sisters Constance husband Chester, Fabra husband Dwight; three brothers, Pete wife Marilyn; Keith wife Diane and Eddie wife Annette. Her love overflowed to a host of other family members and friends. Wayne loved her family very much and reminds us to “Be Still and Know God,” Psalm 46:10.
A special thank you to DaVita Kidney Center’s and Providence Medical Center’s staffs for caring for and supporting Wayne.

With Sincere Love
Life is fragile and so precious especially when we lose a loved one in death. May your family draw comfort in knowing that those sleeping in death are not suffering. The Bible’s wonderful hope found at Isaiah 25:8 tell us “He will swallow up death forever, and the sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” May this promise strengthen and comfort you during this time.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please let me know if there is anything you need. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
