Wilbur August "Tennie" Winslow, Jr.

Wilbur “Tennie” August Winslow Jr., 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on May 14th, 2019.  Tennie was born on July 24th, 1956 in Norfolk, Virginia to Wilbur August Winslow Sr. and Frances Winslow.
Tennie was a retired lineman for Virginia Dominion Power where he dedicated 43 years of his life.  He was also a proud member of the Tidewater Bee Keeper Association and the North Carolina State Bee Keeper Association; where he received his certification in bee keeping.  In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his girls, spending time with friends, bee keeping, fishing, and working on vehicles in his “man cave,” (garage).
Left to cherish Tennie’s amazing spirit and loving memory are his beloved wife, Cynthia (Cindy) Winslow; daughters Whitney and Amy Winslow and a host of relatives and loving friends.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Tennie will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at 11:00am at Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church, 2041 Mount Pleasant Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23322; with a reception to immediately follow in the social hall of the church.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
