October 21, 1961 - July 13, 2020

William Henry Ellis, 58, of Lillington,NC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, July 13th after a short illness. He was the son of the late Irene Cromczak Ellis Cross and the late Joseph Leon Ellis. He is survived by his wife Deborah Ellis of Lillington,NC,  a son Ryan Ellis of Hampton, Va, a daughter Margaret Allen and grandchildren Malcolm Allen and Marissa Allen all of Lillington,NC a brother Joseph Ellis and his wife Shelia of Jacksonville, Fl. sisters Terri Elliott and her husband Dan, and Mary Ellis all of Hampton,Va. along with numerous nephews and nieces.

He was a loving, funny and kind man, who will be truly missed by all that knew him. He was a friend to all and would give the shirt off his back to help someone that he cared about. His love for his family knew no bounds and he would do any and everything in his power to protect and make sure that they were cared for. He was quick with a joke and always brought a smile to the faces of everyone around him. God has gained a true angel, a shining star that will forever burn bright.

There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, July 30th 2020 at 2:00 pm, Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, 12893 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, Va.23608
