Willis G. Cooper of Chesapeake, VA passed away on January 5, 2019. Willis was born July, 27, 1938 to Gehurman G. Cooper
and Margaret Schmitt Cooper from Baltimore, MD. During most of his life Willis lived in Hampton Roads. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Linda Cooper.
Willis is survived by his two children: daughter, Dr Christine Cooper Hutchison (husband Dr James Hutchison) son, Marc Cooper (wife Kimberly Cooper) and three step-children: Matthew MacCorkle (wife Nicole MacCorkle), Amanda MacCorkle Meyers, and Jessica MacCorkle Sweatman(husband Justin Sweatman).
Willis was blessed with several grandchildren: Paul Orlino (wife Sara Orlino), Sean Hurley (wife Alyssa Hurley), Rachel Hutchison LaBelle (husband Gary LaBelle), CJ Brickhouse, and great-grandchildren: Chloe MacCorkle, Tucker Sweatman, Weston Sweatman, Bennett Orlino, Gabriel Hurley, Adeline Orlino, and Alexander LaBelle.
Throughout life Willis had a penchant for cars, especially sports cars. He worked much of his career as a Service Manager with Hilltop Volkswagen and Castle Cars, which he loved. In fact, if you wanted to generate an animated discussion with Willis, just start telling him about your car troubles! He was an avid woodworker and will be sadly missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Willis’ life will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake VA on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
