My husband Eddie and I are friends of Walt and Peggy. She always made us feel so at home and welcome. Her sense of humor was so wickedly wonderful - what a joy she was. Peggy was one classy lady. I feel blessed to have known her. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Peggy's family. To you, Walt, there are no words to express how truly sorry I am....

This is Walt's neice , from N.J. Although we never met , I met you mom several times when visiting VA . I'm sorry for your loss , you mom was a beautiful lady , inside and out. There we're only two people in my life that could call me Kimmy my grandmother and my uncle Walt. Some how your mom thought it was ok for her to do the same , and you know what , I was ok with it. Your mom was very special.

I’ll always remember how you made Janie & I feel like we were still part of the family and not orphans since our Mom (Betty Johnson) had passed away and had us over to your house for lunch and invited us to your Christmas parties. I use to babysit for Sonny Nonner & Denise when they were little and you lived over on Woolsey St. across from the park. I would always write you on Facebook when I wouldn’t call you. You were the most positive person I’ve ever known. Such a beautiful lady in every sense of an Angel. Please tell my Momma, Daddy & Brother I love & miss them so much and shout out to Uncle Sonny & all our family members & friends. With much love & admiration!
